Minos castle.... Raven's room.
"Mercy..." He repeated the name again as he looked up. Did he actually like it? "Ok then Mercy, what have you found out about the prince?" He asked and for a moment, the peaceful miracle that the king actually liked her flew out the window. Yep, weather he liked her or not, she would surely die after answering him. She took in a long, deep breath as if it were her last and she looked at him. "The prince damaged his wing and...it will..." She paused and held her bag tightly as if she was getting ready for something big to happen. "It will affect his ability to fly in the near future..." She continued, in a lower voice. She didn't notice that she didn't stamer while saying tge statement, she was just focused on keeping herself alive at that moment. The king raised a brow at her. "So?" He asked. Mercy's eyes widened for a bit. "Can't you do anything about it?" Before Mercy could answer his question, one of the doctors pushed her aside and faced the king. Sweat drops were falling from her forehead. "Sir y-you shouldn't p-put pressure on her I mean...she isn't even a professional like the rest of us you see and...uhm...she isn't that good looking not smart so you are waisting your precious and valuable time on her..." The doctor said and the rest nodded in agreement. The king clenched his fiststs tight. He really didn't like what she was saying. He called this doctor beautiful and any word that came out of a king's mouth is declared as an order. Calling the doctor ugly even after he called her pretty, is defying an order that he himself gave. His eyes then fell on Mercy. She was looking down when the other doctor was talking. Silent tears were even falling from her eyes when she listened. She felt a stinge of pain because she couldn't deny that what the doctor was saying was true. She was nothing compared to the other doctors, she was useless. "You see your majesty." The doctor continued as she pointed to the crying girl's face. "Look at her, do you think a qualified doctor could heal the prince if she is crying like a-" the doctor couldn't even finish her words before the king grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to him. His eyes were turning a darker shade of red with the intention to kill at that moment.
She was so close to him that the doctor felt his warm breath on her neck. "If she can't do it then who can doctor? Tell me who can do it!" He shouted near her ear and she emmedietly moved her other hand to cover it up. Everyone, including Mercy, was looking at the king when suddenly, " F-father..." A soft voice echoed in the quiet room. The king removed his hand from the doctor's arm and walked towards the boy. "What happened dad?" Raven asked as he slowly sat up. He looked around and saw the many guards and doctors that were in the room. He then looked out the window and saw how dark it was outside. How long has he been unconcious?
He then remembered what had happened in the pit. He placed his hand on his back to see if his wings were better. They felt fine, actually, they felt better than before. The medicine the doctors have him must have soothed the pain. The king looked deep into the boy's eyes, as if he was telling him something telepathically. The guards gestured the doctors to get out of the room to give them space. All the doctors slowly walked out the door one by one. Mercy was last to walk towards the door. She stopped before she left the room and turned her head to look back at the prince and king. She stood there for a while before one guard pushed her out and closed the door.
"If you are going to push her out then you all night as well leave too." The king said, not bothering to turn and look at the guard. The prince was the one who looked at the guard and raised a brow before looking at his father.
"Why dad? That's how they treat ordinary maids." Raven said. "If your ignorant eyes hadn't noticed then let me tell you in the nicest way possible. She isn't a maid, she is a doctor." The king replied with a wierd voice. His voice was different as he said that last sentence. It actually..no it can't be. It actually had a hint of emotion.
