Verum appeared in a place that had dead trees all around it, and unlike the Bloody ruins dungeon, there was only one way to go.

The only light source, was a full moon that was glowing blue.

As Verum walked forward, some gravestones started coming into view.

'Of course.' He thought to himself, as he prepared to swing down as he approached.

When he got within five meters of a gravestone, a hand, or to be more specific, hand bones shot out from underneath it. Not skipping a beat, Verum swung down his sword as soon as the he could see the head, and it shattered, caving in as the rest of it's body turned limp and it started vanishing into the air.

He continued forward, slashing sown every five to six steps at a skeleton that came out, but soon that frequency could not be continued as the numbers increased, and so did their levels.

Eventually, he was embroiled in a an all out battle, dodging and weaving between swords and arrows, as he hacked and slashed at necks, shoulders, and ribs, the only places that dealt critical damage except for the head.

It took him six minutes to clear about a hundred and something skeletons. The good thing was that he had a short respite, as there were no more gravestones in sight, for now at least.

After two minutes of rest, he continued onwards.

He soon came across what could be described as a battlefield, where skeletons in armor lay everywhere, alongside skeletons with spears, axes, and shields.

'If all of them are going to get up, this is going to be a hard fight.' Verum was slightly worried, because even with his high combat ability, there were over four to five hundred of them, at approximately level 20, it would be a long fight, and if a boss appeared at the end of the fight when there were a few of them remaining, then it will be almost impossible to win against it.

He sighed, and readied for a fight.

Thankfully, it was not all of them, as only one of out of three or four skeletons started to get up.

Verum knocked away a spear that jabbed at him, then thrust his blade through an eye socket, killing it, then continued to dodge a swing while slashing out, decapitating the skull cleanly.

He continued doing this carefully, pulling back to gain some distance whenever he felt like he was getting crowded. It was also a little difficult to deal with the shield bearers, as they were more durable, and also a bit faster than the other skeletons, aside from them, the only problem, were the archers, they were being protected by a few shields, which made getting to them annoying, and so he was forced to watch out for arrows while also evading attacks from those close.

Eventually, he did manage to kill all close to him, and so he advanced towards the remaining archers and shields.

He swatted away an arrow mid-charge, then jumped, front-flipping over the skeleton that was going to bash him with it's shield, while also swinging his sword, knocking it onto it's side while it's helmet flew off it's head. He then conjured a fireball and threw it into a cluster of archers, where it promptly blew up upon impact, killing three, and stunning two.

Clang!

He blocked an arrow with the broad side of his blade, then stabbed downwards towards the shield bearer that was about to get up.

"Firestorm." He softly mumbled, and a raging fire suddenly enveloped all of the remaining skeletons, turning them into ashes.

He waited for some time, recovering his mana, then continued.

This time, it did not take long for him to come across enemies, only a minute or two, but what did worry him, was what they had with them.

'Horsemen, shield bearers, and mages. Hoo... This is going to be tough.' He could see that they were in formation. twenty horsemen in front, ten shield bearers, and twenty mages at the back.

He decided to attack with magic first, to try and kill some of the mages before they could become a problem.

He raised his arm, and ten fireball manifested in the air above him, growing steadily.

But it seemed like that action alarmed them, as the horses started to gallop towards him, and the mages were covered by shields as magic circles appeared on top of their staff which were pointed towards him.

'Damn it.'

He hurriedly threw the still growing fireballs towards the mages, and while most of them hit the shields, three of them got through, killing five of them, and disrupting four others, which caused their spells to backfire, harming themselves in the process.

He rolled to the side, evading the first few charging horses, as he manifested a whip of fire in his left hand, which violently swept out, causing a few horses to trip and fall over, which in turn, caused the ones behind them to fall as well, tripping over the bones.

Now there were only seven horsemen left, with twelve skeletons on foot, the last one was killed by repeated collisions with the ground and horses.

'Let's get this over with.' Verum lifted his blade, as it started to spark with lightning.
