I was currently on my way to find Ren. He was sure to be around the premises somewhere, as Meryl told me the Flamerose loved to hang by the ticket booth at around this time. Before going out, I had finally gotten the chance to explain the situation with Ren to my friends. I had the feeling that they understood, but it was difficult for them to not be cautious right on the get-go. And I could understand that, as well. Ren was still an underling of Tyron's father, and though I had made it certain that his intentions were sincere, I would not force my friends to feel the same way as I had.
At the very least, the little knots that formed between us were evened out. Sure, they were worried for my safety most of all, that much I could get. But I had a mind of my own, so they should trust me. I knew what I was doing. And I remembered Niko giving that advice to me about relying more on them, but that might not apply at every case.
