Next to us, the two other courts in the arena had erupted into a frenzy of elements. But not us. Not yet.
The Rockmen believed they were being considerate by allowing us to launch the first attack. None of us had made a move as of the moment. Oh, indeed. We'd take the first chance, but not this quickly.
Stalling for time. That's what was going to happen.
"Fight already!" the audience bellowed. "Fight! Fight! Fight!"
"We ain't going to sit here all day, dammit!"
"Come on, show us them moves!"
The largest Rockmen pounded his fists together, and I saw how his worn leather wristbands rippled because of the impact. "The crowd is getting impatient, my lads."
Being in front, he seemed to be the leader. He also had the longest mustache of them all, falling in thin strips down to his overly ripped stomach. The larger the Rockman, the longer the mustache. And every mustache was long, with merely inches in difference.
