I pursed my lips together, offering her an apologetic look. "Sorry, I didn't want to cause you any problems."
My sister appeared shocked at the sudden apology. I could understand, when I had left I must have seemed really mad. "It's fine, Lily, so long as you're safe. And you, Meryl, don't ever sneak off like that again."
My brows lifted at Meryl. "You didn't tell anyone?"
The girl shrugged and proceeded further into the room. "Oops, guess I forgot."
I saw Ren sigh from one corner of the room. "See, the two of them were together. There was nothing to worry about."
