Erilyn desperately needed some fresh air, and she wanted nothing more than to be someplace else where she wasn't in the same room with the man she loved and the man she was supposed to marry. While she ate, she could feel Ren's gaze stray to her for a few seconds. She knew that he was still stuck between wanting to talk to her and not, she could feel his reluctant urge from where she sat.
She was wise to stop him from speaking earlier, but as each minute passed, regret was slowly creeping at the back of her mind. This was why she had to get out of here before it completely took over her.
Once she was done eating, she decided to tell her well-thought excuse. "We're out of flour, I'm going to the market to buy some."
