Chapter 121
Ren was laughing uncontrollably, while at the corner of our living room, Meryl's shoulders shook as she failed miserably to keep her laughter contained.
"This is not funny," Erilyn chided them for the fifth time as she observed the unconscious heavy-built man tied onto one of their wooden chairs. His hands were bound behind him, and his silver head hung low.
"I'm sorry," said Ren, his cheeks red. He was grinning nonstop. "No matter where you try to look at it, it's really funny. Don't you think so, Meryl?"
The girl straightened as Erilyn shifted towards her, the sides of her lips shaking. "Don't look at me. Whatever you plan on doing to your fiancé, we'll fully support you."
Erilyn could only exhale as she turned back to August. "What a mess."
Ren breathed in, probably done with laughing. "I never thought the day would come that you'd be holding your fiancé hostage like this."
"Neither did I," she replied wearily.
