Erilyn was staring out the window, watering the plants lining on the ledge as she watched people pass by the streets and go on about their daily lives. She was doing that earlier, but was the time ticked, her thoughts drifted to the clouds, leaving her aimlessly surveying the view outside, her head empty and her body like a shell.
From behind her, he heard a loud sigh. "You do realize that we've been here for three months, and we haven't gotten even a mere lead on the princess. There's no water left, by the way."
Erilyn finally noticed that her hand had been hanging midair, trickles of water dropping onto a leaf. She set down the watering can, and turned to Ren. She saw that the sunlight entering through the window had cast a sheen on his golden hair, making him appear more princely than ever. The sight of him was enough to pull her back to the present.
