"If you ever need anything, just give us a knock dearests," said one of the neighbors who came to visit. "Our houses are basically next to each other. Being a newly-wedded couple is quite challenging after all."
The woman shot Erilyn and Ren a wink before they went out in a burst of giggles. Erilyn closed the door, sighing deeply as though her energy had been drained because of socializing with overly enthusiastic aunts.
She glared at Ren. "Why did you tell them that?"
He tilted his head. "What, that we were a couple?"
"Yes!" Erilyn felt pathetically flustered. How could he tell a lie like that without even batting an eyelid?
