Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

'Dark Phoenix's Diary', Keiichi eyes widened.

He then opened the first page. At the bottom of it, his name was mentioned.

Owned By; @^#&^@#*&#*&# (Ooshiro Keiichi)

Title: The Last Dark Phoenix, Grandson of Typhôeus, Son of -----, @#$U*@$(@$

Flipping to the next page, finally he found what he was looking for.

[Dark Phoenix: Originated from -----, The Phoenix Goddess, Daughter of Typhôeus (Daemon, God of Monsters). This species is an extremely rare variant of Phoenix's, now extinct after the fall of ----- in the Battle of Daemons.]

[Authority: Amaterasu]

[Skills: None]

As if he wasn't shaken by the fact that he is a mythical creature, his mother was the Phoenix Goddess. He took a deep breath and calmed down as questions started to rise in his mind.

What is her name? What was this war? Why didn't his grandfather save his mother? What is Amatersau?

Plagued by the questions his head started aching, until the page flipped again and words started appearing again.

-11 Nov, 2019-

Ooshiro Keiichi awakened his true lineage as the Dark Phoenix. He is the last remaining Dark Phoenix. He is the Primogenitor. Although he is weak, he will lead the rise of Dark Phoenix's.

Seeing these words, his heart started thumping and a black aura emanated from him. Few moments later he regained his composure and the aura receded.

This aura didn't go unnoticed by several beings. Some shivered. Some grinned maliciously. Only one of them felt it strongly as her cold demeanour softened.

Keiichi had his glistening eyes closed all this time, he didn't open them until the driver notified him of reaching the train station. He paid the driver and entered the station. He boarded an empty train and settled down on the seat.

-An hour later-

Many people were gawking at him indirectly as he was exhibiting coldness. One of them was a girl with flashy makeup and blonde hair wearing a school uniform. Wasn't this uniform from his school? He gazed at her and looked away. This girl's figure was known to him. His mind clicked and then he remembered the Gyaru from his class, Terada Riko. She was quite the famous person in his school mainly due to her outgoing personality and her beauty. With dyed blonde hair and blue eyes (probably lens), a moderate bust and a cute butt, she was practically worshipped. It's just that his predecessor never paid any attention anything around him. Neither did this matter to him.

She came over and spoke.

"Aren't you quite cute?"

He didn't bother replying and rolled his eyes.

She pouted at him and said, "You are so cold."

He then noticed, she doesn't recognize him.

"Do you need something?"

She sat down next to him.

"Are you single?"

His eyes locked on to her.

He repeated again, "What do you need?"

"Your name and number." Then she smiled sweetly.

"Ooshiro Keiichi. Now I am tired can you leave me alone please?"

Keiichi was sleepy and tired as everything that happened till now took a lot out of him both mentally and physically.

"Riko. Or you can call me Ricchan."

"What?"

"Don't call me 'you'. It's quite rude."

"Terada-san, you haven't answered my question yet. Can you leave me alone?"

She flinched and said, "Wait you know me. Ooshiro... Keiichi, You are the fatty that rarely comes to school. Wow you are a completely different person now and so cute."

At that moment, he regretted telling her name. But it would eventually be revealed when he went to school. He never finished Primary school so he was looking forward to school. Luckily his old memories helped him get to speed.

"Don't tell anyone about me."

She narrowed her eyes and glared at him. Then she got up from her seat as if she had made her mind.

"Tsuntsun-kun, here's my number. Call me okay."

She handed him a paper slip then went back to her previous seat with her friends. They were looking at her with their jaw wide open as she walked back.

'Tsuntsun-kun??', He glared at her.

He sighed and looked at the paper slip. He wanted to throw it away but instead he kept it.

Riko was watching him from the corner of her eyes and smiled at his action.

The train announcements came. He got up from his seat and left the train. Terada Riko also got off. He didn't pay her any more attention as he left the station.

Walking back home, there was a lot on his mind. It was late in the evening so not many noticed him. He stood in front of the door and took a deep breath. It would be a lie if he said he wasn't nervous. Old Keiichi's memories were affecting him and He didn't want to be abandoned in this life as well. Perhaps it was a lesson from life. Never depend on others if you want something.

He quietly got in the house and went towards the kitchen as his stomach grumbled. It had been few hours since he has eaten. He saw a figure standing in the kitchen looking at something. His mother was standing there like a statue with her eyes glued on a photo, his family photo from 5 years ago to be exact. Her beauty was hidden behind the pale face and wrinkles. Anyone could see a toll on her body trying to take care of her family all alone while dealing with the death of her husband.

He felt a tinge of pain in his heart. He turned back and headed to his room. His sisters doors were shut tight as always. It seem no one had noticed he was gone. Everything had fallen apart. His pity towards his predecessor was lessening the more time he spent here.

He dragged himself back to his room.

He lied on the clean bed and started going through the phone for more clues. He went through old contacts, photos and the calender. He dialled a contact.

"Aunt Mana, I am coming to your house tomorrow."

"What about school?"

"I am going from next week."

His aunt was surprised at his sudden declaration but happy nonetheless. In her eyes, her beloved nephew was getting better. She was not entirely wrong, externally he was the same as 4 years ago but internally he was an entirely different person.

The next day he left for his aunt' house by foot. He wanted to take his bike but it had gotten old and rusty. Thus he had no option but to walk there so he left early at 8 am.

Baggy clothes, old shoes and an ancient cellphone with his face was quite the odd combination. He couldn't help but grab attention from his surroundings. He sighed as he calculated the money to buy new stuff. Getting a job was his first priority. It will help him integrating in this world.

After walking for an hour, he reached her aunt's house. She lived in a tall apartment building which needed authorization from a tenant to enter. He called her.

"I am standing outside your building.

"Okay okay, I'm coming."

He saw a woman looking like his mother coming out. She looked around, feeling confused she took out her phone and called him. Seeing her reaction he shook his head, walked up to her and patted her shoulder. She looked back and yelped in surprise.

"Eek who?"

"Its me, Aunt Mana."

"Kei..ichi"

"Yeah, its Keiichi."

She glared at him with her cheeks reddened. She then twisted his ears.

"What happened to you?", Examinng him from top to bottom. She was surprised to say the least, her nephew she saw last month had become a cold but handsome young man. Even she had a hard time not staring at him.

"Keiichi, you... have changed so much. Or I can say you look like Yasuo-san now, maybe more handsome."

He smiled a little, "Aunt Mana stop staring. Lets go up."

She shouted; "Where is my cute nephew? What have you done to him?"

Her gaze then filled with worry, "But Keiichi are you alright now?"

He looked at her with a dry smile.

"Yeah totally fine."

Somehow she felt he might go far away.
