"I thought I thought everything through but … it seems that I did not," Altair said, letting out a deep sigh as I could only look at him through the carriage window, smiling at him.
"Don't be like that, Altair," I said, giving him my best smile as we continue to make our way up the terrain. "We are still able to interact with each other. It changes nothing that the king is around me all the time."
"It changes everything, Orion." He pouted. He is following the carriage on horseback, unwilling to sit in the carriage unless I am in there as well.
But, after the king and I talked that day, he has been keeping me close to him as much as he could and Altair is just bitterly watching.
Even if he is not under the control of the king, he still cannot just simply oppose to everything he does. At the end of the day, he is still the king, chosen by the goddess.
