"I know this sounds a little strange," I mumbled while we sat on the ground, legs dipped into the flowing river, the chilly liquid lightly brushing against our skin. "But I have a question."
"Go ahead," Altair said, smiling at me before handing a bowl full of cherries to me. "Here you go."
"I missed them," I said, taking a cherry and popping it in my mouth, it certainly is just about as good as I had it the first time. "How did you even get these though?"
"Well …" He nervously scratched the back of his head. "You've loved them even fifty lives back and I had been working to get a plant here." He pointed to the walls with little branches sticking out of the concrete. "It's in the walls."
"Is that … healthy?"
"I don't think so?" He shrugged. "But I cannot tell because the only time it has been able to grow this significantly is in the walls.
"I must have tossed a seed there by mistake and look at what has happened."
