Altair first made sure that I am stable enough to be able to move on my own, concern written all over his face as though he is so scared that I would break if he so much as let's go of my arm.
"I'm fine, Altair," I said, smiling at him though part of me is still trying to process everything he said. How many lives have we lived and what were they like? I wonder.
"Are you sure? You have a blank look on your face." Altair said, clearly teasing me as he gave me a quick smile. "Sure you can walk?"
"I've been walking for a while, haven't I?" I asked, shrugging as he began to walk me out of the dining room and to his room. "Where are we going to, exactly?"
"Just follow me." He said, looking over at me occasionally as we make our way through the stairs, the trinkets placed along the walls and the plants blooming all around the hallway to his room.
