My eyes shooting, open, I stared at the figure laying on the bed in front of me, my hand holding his as gently as I could while still trying to keep my grip firm.
Pressing my temples and shaking my head as I attempted to take the grogginess away from my eyes. It's been a rough couple of weeks and my mind is not as fresh as I would like it to be.
"Is something wrong?" The figure in front of me sat up from the bed, dull eyes trained on me. "You sound … distressed."
"Ah … don't worry about me, I'm alright," I said, smiling at him as he just stared blankly at me, not buying it.
"You are not." He said, reaching his hands out and cupping my face as I, involuntarily, leaned into them. "What's wrong? Nightmare?"
