Avery Graham frowned, while Bernard Taylor raised his eyebrows, implying that although he hadn't heard everything, he had heard quite a bit, and all that he wanted to hear.
He had been quite nervous before, but once he entered the house, his nerves eased. He could feel that Avery's Auntie and Uncle were quite pleased with him, and having just heard Avery's mom affirming him, he naturally became completely at ease.
"It's time to go, get ready." Avery pouted, heard what she heard, anyway she had never been thin-skinned.
"Oh." Bernard obediently responded behind her, like a dutiful little wife.
Avery turned around and glared at him. She ended up not saying much. Avery's dad came out of the restroom, saw Avery grabbing her bag, and looked out the window to see it was getting late, "Avery, Bernard drank, you take him home first."
"...Okay, Dad, then we'll head out first." She's a girl, don't her parents worry about her going back alone late and encountering danger?
