Avery watched them leave, knowing they were standing up for her. Business isn't done this way, but Bernard Taylor was also the boss. She could perhaps say this to the staff, but Bernard being so proud, it was likely he wouldn't listen.
Additionally, she genuinely disliked Jollie Auclair and could not understand why she looked down on her so much.
