The next day, after Henry Ruiz finished his regular ward rounds, he went to Bryan Hawkins's ward.
People Hospital, as the name suggests, serves the people and doesn't specifically have VIP wards. However, there are five single rooms in the hospital, equivalent to VIP rooms in private hospitals.
Bryan Hawkins was staying in one of the single rooms, which happened to be available on the day he was admitted.
Henry Ruiz led the way, with two nurses pushing a treatment cart closely behind him. The Hawkins family was present, and Henry calmly nodded at the two elders before walking to Bryan's bedside. He lifted Bryan's blanket and squeezed both of Bryan's legs.
"How does that feel?" Henry carefully observed Bryan's expression.
"I don't feel anything." Bryan looked at him and calmly met his gaze.
"How about this?" Henry bent down and pinched Bryan's legs hard. The skin turned red.
"The same." Bryan still replied indifferently.
