The two arrived at the Emperory western restaurant, and Avery Graham just let Bernard Taylor order the meal without any objections.
"Would you like some music?" Bernard asked. Since they were already here, it was only right to fully enjoy the experience.
"Sure." Today she was treating, but since Bernard wanted to listen to music, she would just foot the bill, nodding generously. Yet deep down, she truly felt the pinch.
Oh, she really wanted to say that she couldn't compare with the Rich Second Generation Bernard—she could only pray their second restaurant would boom in business because, with Bernard's spending habits, she honestly couldn't afford it.
Bernard watched her subtle facial expressions and smiled. With a snap of his fingers, a violinist approached. Bernard requested a piece, and although Avery didn't have much of a musical sense, she found the music to be very pleasant. Before she knew it, she was completely immersed.
