Carolline took the bracelet, and as there was a knock on the door, shortly after Granny Hawkins' strong voice sounded, Bryan walked in with a fruit plate, just in time.
"Granny, here are the fruits you wanted." Bryan glanced at Carolline and said to his grandmother.
"Hmm, bring them here, let's eat them together. Sit down, Bryan, Granny has something to say to you." Granny Hawkins requested.
Carolline didn't know why, but hearing Granny Hawkins say this made her heart start pounding nervously. She knew that Granny Hawkins wanted to bring them together, but was saying something like this in front of Bryan a little too…?
Bryan looked at Carolline again and saw how tense she was, clutching her fingers as if she could anticipate what Granny Hawkins was about to say.
