Avery Graham walked into the Resting Room, "Mom, do you want something to eat?"
"No need, I had plenty this morning. Just came out for a walk and ended up here. Your Cake Shop is doing quite well," Avery's mother said appreciatively.
In the past, Avery had spoken in front of her about buying a house on her own, and her mother thought it was a bit of a pipe dream, but now, seeing such a scene, she believed that Avery's words might indeed come true.
"Yeah, today is not bad, probably because it's the first day of business after the New Year. But the daily turnover is still good. If nothing unexpected happens, by the end of the year, I should be able to buy a house. Then, you and dad can move over and live with me," Avery said as she held her mother's hand. It had been a long time since she had cuddled in her mother's arms and acted like a spoiled child; today, she suddenly felt like doing just that.
