Michael Auclair had only heard from his sister that Adelle Turner was coming, so he went out to see, and then by coincidence, overheard Avery Graham speaking so calmly to Adelle, urging her to be with him.
It was only after the fact that Avery Graham realized the atmosphere was somewhat different, and Giselle Browman did too. Quickly, both followed Adelle's gaze and saw Michael standing there.
Michael's expression was truly unsightly, and Giselle thought he deserved it. Avery, however, faced the situation with complete composure.
"You're here for dinner too?" Michael spoke up, and Giselle had to suppress her disgust to avoid vomiting outright. She couldn't fathom why Michael could be so shamelessly calm at this moment.
Of course, whether Michael felt calm inside was something they could not know.
"Mhm." Avery nodded.
