"Yeah, it's been a while," Avery Graham turned her head and nodded at Bernard Taylor.
To Avery Graham, it seemed all they could exchange now was this kind of polite small talk.
She had thought Bernard Taylor would just say hello and leave, but after a brief silence, he spoke again, "Let me take you home. Carolline Ruiz and Bryan Hawkins are very busy with so many people. No matter how many drivers there are, there can be a moment when it's just not enough."
Bernard Taylor's offer sounded perfectly reasonable, as if he was simply trying to lighten the load for Carolline Ruiz and Bryan Hawkins.
"...Wouldn't it be too much trouble for you?" Avery Graham didn't play coy; with Michael Auclair gone, she knew Carolline Ruiz had arrangements, but as Bernard Taylor said, with that many people, it was likely not enough.
"No trouble at all. Let's go," Bernard Taylor turned and started walking ahead.
Avery Graham thought about it and followed him.
