Jordy Wade didn't stop Celia Wade; these were the words he indeed didn't plan for Celia to hear. It was his intention, and now he needed the help of Marcus Parker and Ellie Wilton.
Seeing Jordy Wade not preventing Celia's departure, Marcus Parker and Ellie Wilton naturally remained silent as well. The two told Celia to be careful on her way and watched as she picked up her bag and left.
"Come back soon," Jordy Wade said after Celia opened the door.
"Yeah, I know," Celia turned back and nodded with a smile.
Once Celia left, Jordy Wade turned to look at Marcus Parker and Ellie Wilton. Ellie was very nervous, not daring to meet his gaze squarely. Marcus, likewise, appeared calm on the surface, but his heart was beating with intense nervousness.
"Dad, Mom," Jordy Wade began, immediately causing both of their faces to tighten, and then their features rapidly quivered. While Marcus managed to hold it together, Ellie burst into tears.
