"I quit my job, why aren't you happy?" Carolline Ruiz continued to pack up the things at hand.
"I'm not unhappy, I just don't like that you didn't discuss it with me. Aren't you still considering me your best friend? I'm even Axel's godmother." Megan Clifton sat down with a huff.
"Of course you're still my best friend. Okay, okay, the decision was a bit sudden. I made it on the spur of the moment last night because I hadn't thought it through before. So I didn't find the right time to tell you. Don't get agitated." Carolline feared that if Megan got too agitated, she might jolt the baby out, and that would be a disaster.
"..." Megan knew Carolline was appeasing her.
"What plans do you have for tonight? I'll have Andy Aguirre host a dinner." Megan wouldn't stay angry for too long, maybe just gloomy for a little while.
