Carolline walked back to the kitchen, "Aunt Lu, let me help you."
As she spoke, Carolline rolled up her sleeves, ready to help with the cooking. She felt guilty letting Aunt Lu prepare dinner for such a big family all by herself.
"It's alright, Young Lady, I can cook all this on my own," Aunt Lu said with a smile, assuring her that it was all just simple home-cooked meals and wouldn't take much effort.
"Come on, we're all family, there's no need to be polite." Carolline didn't hesitate and started helping without further ado.
Seeing that she couldn't avoid it, Aunt Lu accepted the help, and with their combined efforts, dinner was prepared quickly.
