"Is he the one who holds a place in your heart?" Even though his question seemed uncertain, Simon Carrington's tone suggested it was more of an affirmation.
"Are all lawyers as sharp as you?" Carolline Ruiz hesitated for a moment before indirectly admitting to Simon Carrington's statement.
"A good lawyer must triumph over an adversary not only with skill but also with just a bit more insight and observation than the opponent. Carolline, he's not bad. I'll wait back in the room first." Simon finished and turned to leave first.
Carolline watched Simon walk away, and for a moment, she didn't know what to say. She knew whether Bryan Hawkins was good or not, but regardless, she had fallen in love with him. That fact couldn't be changed.
Bryan didn't take long before returning with an expensive-looking bottle of foreign wine in hand.
"Let's go," Bryan said, without holding Carolline's hand, only asking her to lead the way.
