In the morning, Aunt Lu and Uncle Lei went back to the villa without specifying when they would return.
"They won't come back." So, there was no need to make a phone call. Why would anyone leave them at home without being observant?
"..." Carolline was speechless, "Alright, you go out and wait too."
Bryan Hawkins knew he couldn't be of much help and went out first.
The dinner was simple, just a typical meal for a family of three. Axel had three bowls of green bean porridge, Carolline had two, and the rest was consumed by Bryan Hawkins alone.
They polished off all three side dishes as well.
After dinner, the three of them went for a walk. Dad walked in the middle, one hand holding the child and the other holding his wife. It was slightly different from the children walking in the middle and the couple on either side. One could sense the love between the husband and wife from their harmony.
This must be what happiness is.
