Mrs. Duncan grabbed Daisy Willow as she tried to leave. There was no way she would let Daisy go without finishing the conversation.
"What about us? Our relationship as in-laws is over, as is our marriage. Why are you coming to see me?" Daisy was not polite at all. If Mrs. Duncan had respected her, Daisy would have respected her back. But since she didn't care about proper conduct, why should Daisy respect her? Just like Carolline Ruiz said, such a person didn't deserve any respect, even if she were an elder.
She had no bearing of an elder at all.
"You..." Mrs. Duncan, caught off guard by Daisy's sharp tongue, was left speechless.
"Daisy Willow, for the sake of how much Cole thinks of you and his daughter, can't you go back and see him? Can't you help him? After all, you two were once husband and wife." Mrs. Duncan would not let go. As Daisy continued to resist, Mrs. Duncan suddenly played the family card.
