Phoebe Miller received Bryan Hawkins' call while she was waiting for her flight. The first thing that came to her mind was the picture of him with another woman last night, and a sour feeling arose in her heart.
In the end, Phoebe didn't hesitate and answered his call, her voice calm, "Hello, Bryan Cooper?"
"Phoebe, there's something I need to ask you for a favor. Can you spare me five minutes? I've promised Carolline Ruiz to help her with her troubles. The first thing I did after coming to the Hawkins family was to put down my work and call you," he said.
"Mhm, go ahead."
"You see, my wife, Carolline Ruiz, is a head nurse at People's Hospital. Your charity event has given two spots to their hospital, but she chose five children, none of which she wanted to give up. I'll pay for the other three children's aid separately. Can you call her and tell her the good news?"
