At five o'clock, Bryan Hawkins arrived promptly at the hospital entrance. When Carolline Ruiz came out, her mood was still somewhat downcast.
"What's wrong?" Carolline got in the car and didn't notice the large bouquet of roses he had specially prepared for her in the back seat. There weren't 999 roses, and Bryan didn't pay attention to how many there were. He just knew it was a large bouquet that shouldn't be neglected so easily.
But Carolline didn't notice, she didn't even smell the roses, which was unusual.
"Did something happen at work?" Bryan didn't start driving, but instead he took Carolline's hand.
Only then did Carolline notice that Bryan hadn't started the car and they were still parked. She pulled out her seat belt and fastened it herself. "It's nothing, please start driving. Aren't we supposed to go back and cook dinner?"
"In your current state, do you even have the mood to cook?" Bryan asked with concern.
