Although Elena had fun playing with him today, he could always sense an underlying sadness in her.
"Did Elena tell you that, or is this just your perception?" Carolline Ruiz was surprised by Axel's keen observation. After all, Elena was a child, and her parents' impending divorce would understandably depress her. However, she believed this was just a temporary phase.
