After they finished the toasting and talking, Carolline turned to Mia and said, "How much longer do you plan on letting this go on? It's getting late, and I have work tomorrow."
"Come on, girl, you just got here and you're already thinking about leaving?" Mia glanced at Ben. Today's gathering was mainly to thank Ben, so even though it was a bit awkward, she had asked Carolline to come at this time.
