Ian Leighton heard Gail's breathing become lighter and left the room quietly, closing the door gently behind him.
The wedding date was approaching, and even Grace Gordon called several times a day.
Ian saw Gail's notebook on the tea table, with various wedding arrangements written on it... what should be done on which date, and every time a task was completed, Gail would cross it out with a red pen.
Gail wrote in her notebook that tomorrow, she and Grace Gordon would try on their bridesmaid dresses together.
Because Gail had said that she only had one friend, Grace Gordon! Naturally, Grace would be the bridesmaid without a doubt.
Gail had arranged only this one thing for the entire day tomorrow...
It was also good, Ian thought... this way, Gail could take a good rest tomorrow!
Ian briefly flipped through Gail's notebook, then sat exhausted on the sofa... rubbing his aching temples.
Ian never brought his work troubles home...
