The sudden yell startled Kevin Sim…
Kevin turned his head and saw Shane Sim, his eyes blazing with rage. Subconsciously, Kevin tightened his grip on the snacks in his hand, his chubby, pink-cheeked face taut in fear, his big eyes, so much like Vivian's, welling with tears.
Shane abandoned his cane and strode over to Kevin, picking him up and spanking him furiously!
Kevin had disappeared ... and Shane nearly lost his mind with worry!
He never dreamed the little tyke had run off here!
Kevin was already feeling wronged as it was. He had never been beaten before, and now that he had been hit, fear mixed with injustice, he suddenly burst into tears.
"Waa… Waa… Daddy's bad! Daddy's bad… I don't want Daddy! I want Mommy! Mommy… Mommy!" Kevin wailed.
Shane's hand paused mid-air...
Listening to Kevin's sobs, Shane's heart felt as if it was being ripped to shreds.
His throat throbbed as he held Kevin tighter and started to walk away!
