Glancing back one more time before we start into the fight itself, Chara held tightly to Alice in her last moments and here I am fighting this out as the world falls before us. Shrieks of horror below us as the next halo launched beneath us.
"Get ready lover boy!" He shouted.
Catapulting his first attack I jumped backward, his foot moved forward thrusting the blade out at me. I dodge, my uncertainty nullified the golden eye's ability. There was no way to concentrate as he brandished his weapon at me.
My cool-headed motivations fell off, self doubt ate at me. All I could do was avoid him in every effort to not be knives by his anger to keep Alice.
"Is that all you got?" He laughed.
Huffing and puffing, I was swift on my feet vaulting in reverse. I saw no way to get an edgewise attack in; too stiff on my feet and slightly distracted. I was thinking of how I could get in to just push him even a little.
