"Do you think they will be back soon?" Nina asked.
"Why do you care about some bloodsuckers?" Matthew questioned.
He was annoyed with her constant obsession since Christian and Mars had shown up at the compound, despite his wishes she always tried to help both sides. To her, nothing was black and white in the world they live in beyond the mortal realm.
They stopped for a while waiting for Everett and Christian to come back, they were unsure if they should move on or continue. Matthew became impatient in the wait hopping up to his feet and dusting himself off starting to walk without Nina.
"We aren't gonna wait for them?" She inquired.
"I am not, you can stay if you wish." He argued.
Startled by his response she decided to go with him, she recalled how Christian couldn't even defend her against the doll. Matthew smashed it in a heartbeat to save her. She wondered what her heart truly wanted.
