Chapter 58 - Trapped-Part Eight-Encounter

"Shimon!" Silas shouted.

"Your kid is here! Get him before I kill him!" Shimon stated.

On the ground his face buried in arms bawling softly, bowing down he helps Clarence in getting up from the hard surface.

"Clarence…Steel is part of something important now." Shimon explained.

"You knew…YOU KNEW!" Clarence shrieked in anger.

"I did…that's why I dropped the phone…"

"Rosalie's place is here." Shimon declared.

"Why do you keep calling her Rosalie?" Clarence mourned.

"She came from outside the veil-like you, her real name is Rosalie, the boy." Shimon insisted.

"Then I will save Rosalie!" Clarence exclaimed.

"Clarence!" Silas scolded.

Clarence took a stance, Silas about to react paused, entranced by a change in the air. His eyes glued to the talentless vampire. His eyes darkened, seemingly glowing afterward a deep crimson in the low light of the warehouse.

Hunched over he robotically lurched a few steps, Shimon became delighted he is opening the experiment's path with anger alone to save his friend. Clarence collapsed, his body convulsed for mere seconds his hands propel him up only slightly.

"Enough Clarence!" Silas chided.

"I don't think he can hear you!" Shimon laughed.

"Shimon, you need to snap him out of it!" Silas commented.

Drawing the curtain Shimon revealed Steel laying in a chair limped over, her eyes opening. Her retina's blended white. He punts the chair with his foot, letting her fall to the floor.

"What…did you do to her?" Silas questioned.

"Just watch…" Shimon chuckled.

"Where is everyone?" Steel asked.

Her fingers embraced the cold dirt sifting through Clarence's bloodshot, his hair unkempt as he dragged his digits through his hair.

"She is deaf too…" Silas whispered.

Shimon sneakily gets behind Clarence striking his back with his unpolished shoe cackling in amusement, Clarence bumped into Steel grabbing her face un-discriminated by his current field of vision.

His fingernail dug deep into her shoulders, she let out a howl pushing backward in an attempt to pry herself from his grip shredding the front of her blouse in the escape. Getting away she hobbled blindly to be only played with like a mouse to a cat.

Clarence's strong hands beat down on her face, repelled; she fled as she had no way of finding where to encounter him next to other than darting around the small dirty room. Banging into the cheap metal attracted his attention.

He pounced biting into her neck ripping her brooch off along with the mock neck collar cutting into her clothing in the rush and need for blood, the object shined brightly into his eyes repulsed by the light he cried out withering to the floor like a beast in cowering.

"Clarence…" Steel said softly.

Grunting out, Clarence hid his face from view, Steel staggering to her knees she rubbed his back concerned at his newly risen animal-like tendencies. Keeping one hand over his eyes, he swiped at her like an angry feline lashing out with a temporary burst of energy.

Gingerly she placed her palm on his forehead slowly chanting, he calmed feeling her warmth alone. Shimon towed the silver-white blade over Steel's head with the distracted distressed possessed bloodsucker when the glimmer bounced off his glassy irises.

"Clarence!" Silas shouted.

He snapped out of the beast-like carnal desires seeing Silas get in front of them both, holding tight to Steel in the confusion of the new battle taking place.

"Take Steel, Clarence!" Silas demanded.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"She can't see or hear my dear idiot son!" Silas smiled.

"Steel…" He whispered.

"Go now!" Silas shouted.

Blasting magick-infused doubled-fingered sigils at Shimon, his skinny stature helped him be quick on his feet meeting every angle in an effort to Clarence and Steel. Clumsily she had a time getting up.

Clarence clamored to pull her arms around his shoulders, setting off, Shimon jumped facing them surrounding the two. Silas lunged, propelling Shimon aside only to be booted in the side.

Beaming his enchanted seal, Shimon countered using his blade like a shield bouncing off and dissipating in the air angering the yellowish-white-haired man. Gliding in on both feet slices at the cocky doctor nearly cleaved by an inch.

Clarence started to run out of the makeshift building carrying Steel on his back, she had fallen asleep in wake of the temporary disability bestowed upon her.

"We're going to see Ria and the team will help you…Dad…" Clarence told himself.

From the distance in mere seconds, he could see only flashes of light and sounds of their abilities clanking. His arm drops to his side wondering if he should go back to help Silas only for a large wolf leap down growling at them.

Barring its sharp teeth, Steel started opening her eyes sliding down. Clarence turned his head only for moments to be snapped at from his slathering mighty jaws.

"Master Shimon doesn't want you to go anywhere, little experiment!" the wolf rumbled.

Backing away a scurry of jet black bats rammed them from behind hammering into the beast, recouping and manifesting into a human-like being carrying a longbow to his side. Clarence and Steel cry out recovering from the bombardment.

Firmly in his right hand, he holds it out in front of his torso. Reaching down by his right side, the thumb, index, and middle fingertips lightly grasp the feathered end aiming it at Clarence.

"Give it up boy…you have no chance…" The man stated.

"Cyffin, I ask you not to harm the boy…" The voice rang out.

"No…" Clarence said.

Gawking back no one was in sight other than the smarmy smile of the confident man briskly strolling towards him.

"He won't remember he ever called you son in the morning Clarence." Shimon declared.

Tears leaked from the side of his eyes down his cheeks, even now he didn't understand what he meant by that, but he knew it had to do with Steel as much as his surrogate father. He watched in terror as the man came forward face to face.
