"Line up! Prepare to board!" The captain yelled as the soldiers all lined up, one of the carried Dan in his arms.
A black-plated hover train arrived shortly. It's engine carriage had a large rectangular laser cannon on-top.
"Move!" the soldier yelled.
The soldiers all boarded the train as they headed back to their outpost base.

Arriving at the base, Dan had finally woken up. He looked confused as he wandered off the hover train, the other soldiers stepped off casually as he jumped off like a kid - though no one suspected anything as he was previously passed out.
"Longley! Report to MedPort! The rest of you, free time and then the training field by 800 hours tomorrow!"
"Sir!" The soldiers all saluted in unison and stomped a foot down.
Dan wondered where he should go, then he remembered his name was Longley.
"Right, MedPort." he thought as he wondered where the medport was.
Suddenly, a notification appeared in his vision.
[Map Accessible]
"Oh right, Map" he thought.
Before him a map appeared with the medport marked. "Guess I'll go then..." he pursed his lips, a little unsure of himself.
Making his way to the medport, he found that there was no building here - just a bunch of roughly painted yellow circles next to a wall.
Checking the map again, it seemed like he was meant to stand in the yellow circle.
"Hmm ok then" he thought as he took a step.
Wondering why nothing was happening, he looked around - suddenly, a panel on the wall behind him cracked open.
Robotic arms and floating scalpels came flying out. Some arms came with cameras, claws and saws; along with other unidentifiable instruments that Dan had never seen.
"Agent: 5,927,631,832. Please hold still" a female voice sounded. "Sounds like it's not even a robot at all" thought Dan, hearing the voice.
Dan shivered at all the randomly flying medical instruments but did as he was asked. A green laser-wall waved over him as it scanned his body.
"Analysing...Complete."
Suddenly, a small paper cup filled with two pills was held out by a robotic hand, along with what looked like a hamster water bottle. "Take the medication - beta-blocker and pain killer. No further action needed."
Dan did as the woman's voice asked, taking the pills and sucking some water out of the bottle - though he did feel a little weird, he felt like he was a lab rat.
With that, the robot's parts all flew back into the wall - just looking at the machining of the wall made Dan excited, he could not even tell that this part of the wall could open up, there was no cracks or seal or anything - just a smooth matte-black wall again.
"Amazing" Dan thought "This world is so advanced."
He wanted to check his character profile, thinking it was like a computer game.
"Character" he thought - nothing happened.
"Hmm... Status?"
A display appeared before his eyes - a picture of himself on one side appeared; he realised he was looking at himself, it was almost like a mirror - then he read his stats.

Dan expanded his list.
[Hex-Drone] - Missing necessary crafting materials.
"Dammit. I can't craft it, but It sounds cool at least." smiling, he checked his map - looking for the barracks.
Making his way over, he found it - the building was one-story and seemed more like a car dealership; one side-wall was all a dark glass window. As he entered through an automatic glass door, he thought the other soldiers must mostly all be asleep.
Dan crept past the doors to their rooms and found his - the nameplate of Longley was on the wall.
He wondered how to open the door as there was no handle. He realise there was a key-card scanner next to the door. Checking all his pockets, he realised he didn't have any key-cards at all.
Out of frustration, he flicked the scanner with his finger - suddenly it glowed green and the door lifted up into the ceiling.
"Oh..." he looked at his hand "I must be implanted..? Or maybe it's a biological scanner. Pretty cool stuff." Thought Dan as he entered the room - the door coming down from the ceiling and closing behind him.
Looking around the room, he wondered why it was empty - then he realised something.
"Bed" he said. Suddenly, a bed unfolded from the wall and a night-stand rose from the ground. The bed appeared as normal, but the nightstand had a glowing surface instead of a lamp.
"I'm gunna love the future" smiled Dan as he said "Shower".
A shower appeared. Dan tossed his clothes on the floor and got into the warm shower - though it only lasted about 5 seconds; before he realised it, he was clean from head to toe, smelling and feeling as fresh as ever.
When he exited the shower, the clothes he threw on the ground were gone - replaced by a set of clean ones neatly folded on the night stand.
"...Im gunna REALLY love the future" he chuckled to himself as he got into bed and went to sleep.
