As the two tumbled down, the arrows kept flying towards them, or rather Agnes's side. They were moving too fast, so they could not see each other. A few soldiers had started chasing them on the slope as well.
From the corner of her eyes, Ji Hana did see arrows flying and concentrated towards Agnes. She was confused. They did not want the holy maiden to die, so why were they concentrating their efforts on Agnes and not her? It was as if she was still invisible to them. Was that possible?
Soon they hit a few branches of slanted trees that had grown through the cracks of the rocks. Ji Hana's bleeding arm had made a streak behind her but she would rather lose an arm than her life. Her arm hurt, her back that had hit the thick branch hurt and her knees that had scraped quite a bit due to the rocky surface hurt even more.
