This place had a small cabinet with myriad of snacks and a tea station. There were many books for the employees to read starting from learning the alphabet to advanced topics like trade.
There were many tables and chairs, the room itself was quite big and simple. Nothing about it was luxurious like the ambiance she saw outside – this place was more cozy and homely. There were also freshly baked cookies on one of the tables.
Cindy was reminded of her own small café that she had been hired to work at. It has a similar 'employees only' room. Though they did not have such a big spread of snacks and other eatables, it was a place she enjoyed the most. It seemed like the rumor about all the cafes being run by the crown prince were true. Otherwise, which other merchant or family could afford large salaries and such amenities?
