"I…don't know," Talori confessed. "I am inexperienced with love. I might."
Zale let out a curse as he looked at her more seriously. "Tali, you have to know that is impossible. He is a surface-dweller!"
"I know."
She did know that. It was part of why she had never considered that the way she felt about Brennan might be love. She had thought it was because they were best friends. But best friends didn't cry uncontrollably when the other got a girlfriend.
Talori had thought there was something wrong with her. It was highly likely that 'something wrong' was being in love with Brennan.
"You can't control your feelings, Zale," Aila said softly. "She and Brennan have always been close. It isn't that surprising when you take that into consideration."
