Dinda just glanced at the empty seat. Nathan's backpack was still there. Then, she caught a pair of Gisel's eyes who were looking at her with that hateful look. For then, Gisel quickly returned to face the front.
What is it?
Break time came early. And that was used by Dinda to be in the library as soon as possible just to read.
Edo's gaze looked surprised at Dinda. But then the watch returned to its usual way. Dinda is sure if the incident a week ago that happened to her has spread widely and very quickly throughout the school. Strange looks were expressed so clearly by the students who looked at her.
Again, Dinda exhaled heavily. They placed her head on the table as her eyes scanned the line after line of sentences in a biology book in her hand.
"You've been off for a long time. How are you, healthy?" said a hoarse voice that turned out to be Rendra's.
Dinda was about to leave, but Rendra gripped his hand so tightly that Dinda couldn't help but sit back down.
She looked at Rendra with a hateful look, then turned her face the other way, which managed to make Rendra chuckle.
Rendra looked carefully at Dinda. It was as if he was confused about what to say. However, remembering what happened some time ago made Rendra sure that this girl didn't deserve to be used as a toy. Although Rendra had never previously cared about any mentality of the person he marked, he has severe trauma. All he thought about was, looking for fun. And he likes it when he manages to play a trick on someone.
"He said Nathan wasn't in class today?" he asked. But Dinda ignored it. "Does that have anything to do with you?" asked Rendra again. And again, Dinda ignored Rendra's question.
"I'm not talking about statues, am I?" said Rendra, who looked annoyed.
"Could it be possible, don't have anything to do with Nathan and me? I don't want and don't want to be involved with Nathan!" angry Dinda. Even her loud voice got muzzled by some of the children in the library.
"How much did you and your chilies eat for breakfast? Your words are very spicy. I'll tell you, yes, you don't have to be overly excited here. This is the territory of the three pillars. If you want to be safe, you must obey the rules of the three pillars. And if you want to leave this school by being humiliated, it's up to you. I don't know, thank you," said Rendra.
Dinda looked at Rendra fiercely, but she no longer replied to Rendra's words like before.
"You know, if Nathan didn't exist, you would have died..." said Rendra. "You know that Gisel is a reckless girl. What you experienced yesterday was only a fraction of her recklessness. I'm sure, actually, that wasn't the only plan. It could be that at that time she had hired a guy to rape you, and filmed the scene, and posted it widely. But you know, Gisel didn't get to do that. And thanks to whom? Nathan. You should thank him. And I'm sure that you won't want to do it," quipped Rendra again.
Now Dinda bowed her head because she also realized what Rendra said was true. She couldn't be petty by hitting all the boys flat. A boy is Nathan's type, and Rendra is like Panji. Then she thought that all the boys were assholes like Panji.
"Actually, I'm at a loss for telling this to you. But what can I do, I'm just stating the truth. For what reason, I'm annoyed at your arrogant behavior. Grandpa feels like a pretty girl, and I'm just arrogant. It's annoying."
"I don't need anyone's help. And I also didn't ask Nathan to help me. I'm sure, though, if he doesn't know me a lot, he won't pretend I'm definitely Gisel, and Sasa won't prank me, right? For what reason, the source of all of them is Nathan," said Dinda, not wanting to lose.
"Error, only Gisel," said Rendra. Dinda frowned because she did not understand what Rendra said. Why only Gisel? Does that have anything to do with what Selly noted earlier? "From the start, Sasa didn't know that Gisel had a plan to work with you. She was the one who looked for Nathan to help you from Gisel. It would help if you thanked her," continued Rendra.
Dinda was silent again to digest Rendra's words. If it is true that Sasa called Nathan, then why? Isn't Sasa a gang with Gisel? Are they the same pillar? Moreover, she and Sasa weren't that close.
The class bell has rung. It was making Dinda flinch. She hurriedly packed up her books and stationery scattered on the table. She didn't even realize that Rendra was no longer in front of her. All the students flocked out. Meanwhile, Edo is still busy taking notes on some of the books borrowed by some students. Dinda forgot that she had not made a library membership card until this moment.
"Sister, can't you borrow a book?" asked Edo when he saw Dinda passing in front of him.
Dinda stopped. She turned to Edo then smiled. "Don't have a membership card yet, Edo," she answered.
"Well, this is Nathan's membership card, he said he left it for you," answered Edo.
Dinda is getting confused. Why is that?
Edo also gave Nathan's library card. The color is black, not like library cards in general. It looks like a credit card.
"Having Nathan is different, the three pillars of high school are allowed to have this card," explained Edo.
Dinda hesitantly took Nathan's library card, and then she said goodbye to go back to class.
Earlier, she received a message from Selly if Mr. Willis did not come to class, aka free time. Earlier, Mr. Willis said goodbye to go home because he said his wife was giving birth.
"So it's free time!" Benny shouted, throwing his package book at Regar. He was already standing at the table. Meanwhile, girls prefer to be busy with their activities. Some read novels while listening to music, and some are busy making up. Some are gossiping or even just reading a book to get rid of the boredom.
"Wow, dog! Where's Nathan?" asked Regar, who seemed to have just realized that Nathan had not been in class.
Dinda, who had just entered, glanced at Regar, then at Sasa, who looked at her indifferently. She wanted to talk to Sasa, and she wanted to thank Sasa. But, how can she say it if Sasa is always with Gisel?
Speaking of Gisel, Dinda wanted to slap the girl's smooth cheek. She hated Gisel more than anyone. It's just that since a while ago, Nadya always warned her to stop throwing tantrums or interacting with the three pillars that would get her into trouble. And for now, Dinda will be silent. If later she was ready with all the pain that traumatized her, she would surely not hesitate to give calculations after who completely healed her.
