Chapter 3 - Chapter Three: Time Skip

It's been five years since I was reincarnated by the Lamb and the Lion, I won't talk about happened those few years of babyhood. And I never will. I can control myself fully except for the fact that I find the stupidest things hilarious.

I got off the twin sized bed in the center of my room, and did a little examination of my bedroom. To my right and left were two bedside tables, one had a book on it, and the other a lantern. Also on the right was a tall dresser at the bottom were two drawers that held his pjs and shorts. Shove the drawers were two doors that swung outwards to reveal clothes hanging inside. Most were formal but there were a few i could wear outside.

On the right side of his room was a small desk, which had piles of books stacked on it. Next to that was an almost fully stocked bookshelf, the books that were missing sat on my desk. And finally in front of me, the was a door near the left wall, but near the right side of the wall was a box the hung on the far wall. Inside the box was a single blade and it's sheath, and it was the same blade I'd been given when i was three.

Don't yell at my new dad, it's normal in this world for kids to start training as soon as they can. And since I was considered a genius since I already knew pretty much everything they taught except history my dad went ahead and had me start my training is sword mastery.

Sighing I got off my bed and walked over to the dresser, today we were having one of the nobles come over and talk about what we should do about the upcoming war. So I would have to wear formal clothing, I let another sigh out and grabbed some clothes. I changed into the black trousers, white button up shirt, and black dress coat. Before I left my room though I grabbed a black ribbon from my desk, and tied it into a bow around mt neck. Then I threw on some black loafers, before a left though I stared at myself. On my door hung a single mirror, my hair like my mothers was jet black, and my eyes were light green like my fathers.

Yawning I put on a smile and left my room. I had just walked out when a child ran up to me and hugged me. I'd the noble already here? I thought to myself, the child was a girl name Rachel, and she was the child of the noble. Her hair was golden blonde, and her eyes were brownish red. She wore a light blue dress, with whites at her wrists and at the end of the dress.

I gave her a quick hug back and asked "so is Mr. Trew here?"

She looked at me like I was dumb, "of course he's here, why would I be here if dad wasn't here."

"I dunno, I was expecting you two to come later. And I'm not dumb, just special in the head." I said acting slightly hurt by her comment towards me. She smiled then started giggling, I picked her up on my back and we ran through the halls to see our parents.

As we reached the throne room where the were most likely talking I set her down, and put a finger to my lips. We opened the doors to hear "never! I refuse to ever let that happen to any of the children that reside in my kingdom!"

My father had been the one yelling, and he rarely did that. He was standing from his throne, and staring down a Mr. trew who looked equally as mad as my father. "It's for the good of the kingdom Sire! Besides I'm sure your son will be protected from it!" Mr. Trew yelled back at my father.

My fathers face was redder than a tomato from his anger, as he yelled "I will never sell the children to this disgusting humans! Do you understand what they'd do! What about your own daughter don't you care that if this plan goes into action she be sold as well!"

"I know that sire, but…if we don't do something soon. The soldiers will have to protect hundreds of children while trying to fight the army's of those humans. I love my daughter with all my heart, but if this is what it takes for the majority of the population to survive. Then I'll gladly do it." Mr. Trew said almost whispering.

"I refuse, that's my final answer. Leave." My father said pointing to the door. That's when they saw us, we had stood there the entire time. Tears were streaming down Rachel's face, but it made sense. If my own father said that they'd sell me to some weird sicko just to let others live more comfortably, I'd probably cry too. I stared at Mr. Trew he started to walk forward while saying "honey, did you hear that. I'm sorry, I-I was just joking, come her Rachel."

Rachel pushed her face up to my shirt, I glared at Mr. Trew and picked her up. Then left the throne room, I know I shouldn't have glared at him. But at the moment my mind had filled with hatred for him. I shook my head trying to ignore that, he was trying to look out for our kingdom. Although I don't agree with him on how we should do it.

I took Rachel to the gardens behind the castle me and my family loved in. My mother was almost always back here this time of day. But when I didn't find her, I decided to wait. I set Rachel down and the two of us sat under a tree, Rachel was holding her legs to herself and leaning on me. "Listen Rachel, don't get me wrong your annoying as heck. But there's no way I'd let them take you, your one of the few friends I've made so far. And my parents don't count."

She smiled up at me through her tears and said "I know, thanks."
