everything's looking good.

I closed the screens as I focused my attention back on the incoming wave of bat demons, my hearts beating excitedly as my adrenaline circulated through my body.

I dodged a thrown spear easily, my head moving a bit to the side as it harmlessly passed.

with a wing flap several feathers blew holes through the demon, it falling dead on the spot as its vital organs were destroyed in an instant.

---

James pov...

so these are the primals, and he was one of them.

their power was dangerous, each of the now seven holding their own against a section of the underworld army easily.

it was terrifying how they fought, how little they cared for collateral damage, how little they cared of the people around them, still trying to flee.

almost all of them had been cut down accidentally through their fight, my anger for not being able to save them near its boiling point, I couldn't take much more of this thoughtless slaughter!

the winged one who was taking out the aerial assault was the worst, their blood actively falling and destroying everything beneath them, their fallen bodies littering the ground, people's feet melting off as they tried to run away, they collapsed into the blood and it was only worse for them, he needed to be stopped!

---

my senses blared to move, my wings pushed backwards and I sailed back in time to avoid an energy weapon soaring through where I used to be hovering.

looking down the kid I led here was glaring at me, another weapon at the ready.

I ignored him and went back to killing demons, making sure to use my wings as much as possible.

[skill: wing combat->(1/10)]

the feathers were now more in number and my attacks were faster, less flaps were needed to send them at full power.

I did a mini celebration, itnatopped by another need to dodge, another energy weapon soaring past the spot I was.

annoyed I stopped flapping, dropping downwards, landing directly next to the kid.

"look I'm a bit busy, do you mind?!"(syn)

he dismissed answer and just swung the energy sword at me, I raised one arm slowly to block, the sword shattering the second it touched my skin.

[HP:3,399/3,400]

"what are you doing kid?"(syn)

his answer was in the form of making another weapon, sending more attacks my direction, I slipped all of them as I backstepped slowly, nearly stumbling over the corpses of the demons I'd killed, with a quick look I checked on the other primals, they were doing fine, great even, all smiling as they battled away, the dragon especially.

laughing at them I'm James sent another attack, I caught it with my left hand, still not facing him.

with a shove James flew back, flying through the tavern and into an abandoned and plant covered skyscraper.

once he was out of sight he was out of mind, my focus turning back to the demons, a blood hungry smile adorning my face as my eyes went cold.

you could almost see shivers go down the demons spines.

---

Raya pov...

the demons didn't last very long, as soon as the primals had thinned their numbers they released their auras and put great fear into the remaining demons, all of them abandoning their commander and fleeing, only a hundred or so remaining, it was impressive, in just under three hours seven individuals alone faced an army in the thousands and sent them fleeing in terror.

Syn and the dragon primal landed, congratulating Syn while also giving critique, Syn just accepted it gratefully and kept speaking with the dragon.

a rumbling in the distance paused their conversation, Syn rolling his eyes when he saw the source of the rumbling, an abandoned and half toppled sky scraper.

"not this kid again."(syn) groaned.

the other primals gave a look of confusion as Syn stepped forward, lowering his posture and crouching a bit, his wings slowly opening before they flapped back in am instant, I was nearly blown away as I could barely make out his figure speeding towards the building, the landscape rippling then breaking as he moved.

---

my eyes watered as my speed increased, the landscape nothing but a still blur to me as I flew, the building now immediately in front of me, hoping not to crash into it I put on the brakes HARD.

the explosion of force from the momentum I'd built rocked trees in the distance as anything close was decimated before me.

but of course I was fine, everything else not so much.

the rumbling now at its peak as bright pillars of energy began descending onto the ground, large dust clouds and violent winds ravaged the area as I stood there watching, a sinking feeling of danger growing, the pillars only getting larger.

fuck.

before my very eyes the teenager began rising from the building, glowing brightly with a golden hue as his power seemed to constantly rise, the pillars sparking energy to him, my mind racing to figure out their relation, are they boosting him? is he boosting them? what is their purpose?

[the primal hunter has been awakened]

all seven of us primals cast a look at one another over the large distance, I was the only one close to him, they couldn't get to me as fast as I'd made it here, I knew that.

and so I steadied myself, circulating my skill energy and entering a basic defensive stance, my aura growing around me protectively as I stood and prepared, danger signals blaring in my head.
