Chapter 34 - interrogation

it took a few hours before someone had come into the hospital room I was in, it didn't feel right but I couldn't quite place why.

from out of the rooms corner shadow stepped a man, he was dressed strangely in clothes I couldn't quite place as normal for anyone, he was covered so completely i couldn't see his skin.

"I'm here to ask you some questions."(man)

"sure."(syn)

I felt like I should start thinking believable lies.

"why were you attacked by a demon?"(man)

"I was attacked by someone's boyfriend, I slept with their girlfriend and they weren't happy about it, the demon was unexpected."(syn)

he wrote down what I said but I wasn't sure if he believed it or not.

"how did you survive?"(man)

"because of one of my passives."(syn)

"and it would be?"(man)

"I can't remember the name, my thing changed and I can't see them anymore."(syn)

I wasn't sure how much he knew about systems but from what I've heard not many or maybe even only one could change, mine.

*why did it change? my pasives I mean?*

[you now solely know all of your passives, no list needed the Info is in your head]

and sure enough thinking about my passives I immediately knew all of them.

---

for readers I'll show a complete list here-

passives:

-(anti aging)

-(regeneration quick)-your body heals fast

-(near indestructible body)

-(charm)-can influence other species in your favor, attract females of another species

-(evolving senses)-senses that improve with you, better hearing, better sight, better reflexes, can detect incoming danger to some degree

-(agile creature)-you are a creature made for agility, permanent boost to agility and dexterity

-(elder progenitor)-the oldest start point of a species, your DNA is more potent

-(recover)-genrate stamina quickly

-(toxin resist)

-(poison resist)

-(internal damage reflector)-reflects damage aimed at your internal organs

-(internal limb blades)- you have blades in your arms

-(intelligent creature)- you're a smart creature, thinking speed is increased and ability to learn and remember is increased

-(heart beat)-generate 5BP on your own, drain per hour is .5 BP, 4.5BP gain every hour, can still feed, generation stops at full, time can be shortened with leveling

the man waved his hand in front of my face.

"sorry I zoned out there, still feeling off."(syn)

"no worries, the question I asked was, what's your system name?"(man)

*fuck*

"what would that have to do with anything?"(syn)

"I can't see it, and I'm quite curious how you bested the demon as there's very little to go on for how that happened."(man)

"strength system."(syn)

"and what would your strength stat be?"(man)

"234."(syn)

"level?"(man)

"45."(syn)

"that would have to mean 5 boost to stats every level added to a base stat of 9, but that wouldn't make sense as every base stat is 5."(man) started thinking outloud to himself.

"my base strength stag was 9."(syn) I lied, it was 5 I got a boost to it during my genocide quest.

"then strength system would make sense."(man)

*I have no idea what he's after*

[your species name, he can't see that either]

*why my species name?*

[he's part of the family that dedicated their lives to studying you]

*they're still trying to after 6,500 years?!*

[yes]

the man stood and thanked me, saying he'd be more in contact if anymore questions arose.

it wasn't long before an actual cop showed up, this one clearly identified himself as a cop and was dressed in a similiar uniform as the cops in my old world did.

did he think I wouldn't get suspicious, or at the least curious?

the cop had similiar questions, minus everything personal, asked me about the attack itself, what led up to it, not one mention of how I won, he didn't care.

that only made the first round of questioning more odd in my mind.

standing up from the bee I dressed myself, jeans and t-shirt, stealing someone's slippers as I walked through the hospitals halls, not many people were around and the nurses and doctors were too busy to notice me so I just wandered, ending up at the exit by sheer dumb luck.
