As I approached, I pulled out my lunai frugt and squished a small part of it, staining my finger.

After a few seconds, my finger glows a translucent blue and I raise my index finger and recreate the insignia tied around my wrist.

The one who was watching on the watch tower recognized me as their own and slowly opened the wooden gate. I kicked the horse's side lightly and urged him to walk inside.

I looked around at the small buildings inside the wall, there was barely any building inside to the point that you might as well call it a hamlet.

I jumped out and the same woman that I met when I first came here greeted me. "Took ya long enough, we thought you died. Also, your party members are getting anxious too."

As she said, I put my horse in the stable and spoke to her again. "Did they just return as well?"

"Nope, you get a day of rest every time you come back safely, after all, you scouts are literally our only defense so we need you all in top shape."

I once entered the trapdoor and saw a familiar hallway, my mind immediately tried to see if I could swing my katana comfortably.

There would be about a seven-centimeter gap if I were to swing in the very middle, anything farther than that would mean, I would hit the wall.

I speak to myself. "That would be unfavorable so it would be best to fight in a larger room, but then again, I could just change my katana into a gladius or something."

As I speak, I went to the room where I first met Hux and reported the results of my scout.

"I have returned."

"So it seems, how was it?"

"It was hard at the start since my horse ran at full speed and I almost hit some of the old buildings before finally reaching the steppes. Fought two scorpion-like monsters before exploring the maze and reaching the second layer-"

As I said, Hux expresses his shock. "You went to the maze and reached the second layer?"

"Yeah after entering the portal, I found myself stuck in there as the same monsters that wandered in there, and after considerable progress, I concluded that there might be no way to go further so I started looking for invisible portals and luckily I found one but I was assaulted by a new kind of monster that I couldn't handle so I decided to find a way out."

When I said that, I pulled out my incomplete map and gave it to him, while he studied the map, I observed the people in the room and their reactions, I looked for those with expressions other than shocked, surprised, or happy but the reactions were pretty normal.

In my mind, I sighed but that was expected.

"I see, we'll need to update our map then, thank you Himura, get your well-deserved rest, and also feel free to visit the cafeteria but we only have lunai frugt and alcohol so don't expect much." He said happily as he pointed at another hallway to my left.

I nodded and I headed to the hallway. "Damn, he didn't even suspect you, I must say, you're quite great at lying to people."

Akira comments as Hux, calls three unfamiliar men to him.

I looked at the hallway leading to many paths and gulped most of the passersby looking at me before continuing in their business.

There wasn't exactly a sign saying "Cafeteria" or something so I continued to walk forward, looking left and right whenever there is another path.

After looking for a good few minutes, I headed left as I heard talking of multiple people in there so I entered and saw a giant room full of tables and chairs.

In the side of the room were barrels of alcohol and lunai frugts in open boxes, beckoning anyone to take one.

'They'll go bad if they'll you know, somebody, just fill the damn thing with ice while covering it with thick insulation so at least they'll last longer.'

I commented as I looked around and Akira also speaks. "Maybe, there's no one capable of ice magic."

I retort. 'Then just bring it to the mountain, get a bunch of snow or maybe freeze some water then put the ice into a box with thick insulation, keep it shut along with those things then open it again and eat it all then repeat.'

He speaks again referring to my imagination. "Would that work? Also, what is insulation?"

In my mind it was a wooden box, inside was a really thick cloth, separating the ice and lunai frugts from the wood.

'The cloth thing, figure it out yourself also, how would I know since I never brought perishable food with me and I never saw any material similar to styrofoam so I had to find an alternative but thinking about it now and remembering how they work, it probably won't work.'

I shrugged in my mind and Akira comments the obvious. "What a pointless conversation..."

I retort hearing that. 'As long as I can keep my sanity intact, I don't really care.'

Akira saw a memory I'm referring to and speaks again. "Fine, I guess I'll keep talking to you since I have nothing else to do anyway."

Hearing that, I shivered a bit. 'God, do you even hear yourself, you sound like a damn tsundere.'

'I have no clue what a tsundere is but from the tone of your voice, it's probably an insult so fuck off.'

He said, giving me the finger in his dark void but for some reason, I could feel it.

As I look around since most of the people here are scouts so they mostly looked at me with idle curiosity with some commenting "Isn't he a bit young?" or maybe "Damn, that's the kid that could keep up with Shin?".

However, there are a few individuals that looked at me with indifference, probably because of me being a former cursed child, maybe even everyone in this room would think that but it seems, that surviving a fight with Shin with only one arm has earned me quite a reputation which was quite favorable.

As I walk to an empty table, Akira speaks to me. "Even in your thoughts, you can't speak in a casual tone."

'What are you talking about?'

I asked and immediately he responds almost angrily. "You know "Favorable", you're not some upper-class noble to be using some fancy words like favorable, god, you really are acting like noble with that stiff way of talking you know."

'I don't.'

"Like some strict noble who doesn't like talking about sex but has a quite kinky taste himself."

'Shut up, it's called a fucking preference all right, nothing deviant about it also, don't remind me of that noble thing, it's been quite some time since my party used that as an insult and I'd rather keep up that streak.'

"No shit, you've been gone for days also just used the word deviant so your supporting my point."

'Shut up alright, my friend in high school used to teach me English, and since the language of Common is quite similar to English, you can't blame me if my speech is quite similar to how he speaks.'

"Was he of royal blood."

'Yes.'

"Okay, how the hell did manage that?"

After Akira stopped insulting me about how I speak, he asked me a question that I assumed he already knew so I asked him a question as a grabbed three mugs filled with wine and a single lunai frugt. "Didn't you already watch my memories?"

'Nope just watched enough that I could know enough about you so I didn't pay attention to your day-to-day life, I'll watch it later when you are asleep so you don't die of cringing at yourself, also your memories serve as my entertainment since I'm bored every night.'

Hearing that I asked him a question. "You can't sleep?"

"I'm not required to but I can."

'How does that work?'

"Dunno."

I start sipping the wine as I eat but I could hear, the people around me comments about me actually drinking that much and some saying they're liking me even more knowing how I could handle my alcohol.

In reality, I'll probably not get drunk since this isn't even enough to fill a single bottle but now that I think, this wine was quite strong meaning my tolerance is probably better than the rest in this room.

'Wait, does wine contain alcohol? Aren't they just fermented grape juice?'

I asked myself but recalling my memory gives no answer.

I spent a good while before leaving the cafeteria but I looked back again, and there were currently fifty scouts inside the cafeteria so I wondered whether fifty of them would be able to handle six demonic beasts of emotions as I walk back to my room.

Shin isn't in here so I closed my eyes and prepared to go to sleep and reflected on the knowledge I've gained.

'Molecular fusion...'

"What's wrong Himura?"

'For a world of sword and magic, the word "Molecular fusion is quite alarming, since that term would fall in the category of science."

'What's wrong with that?'

He asked as my conciseness slowly slipped. "It was already weird for Kliyer to have such advanced technology and not have it anywhere with some thinking this is normal meaning they had to know their technology and how they for a while now, whatever, this world is mysterious but no answers would be answered if I only speculated."

Akira wanted to point out my stiff tone again but he was too confused with babbling. "Okay, good for you I guess?"

"I'm going to sleep."

I said as my consciousness finally sleeps before going into a dream.
