The next morning I woke up to the sounds of crying. I got up and looked around, but I couldn't see anyone. Sophie and Jayden were asleep, meaning that it was someone else. I grabbed my pocket knife and started to look around. I then saw a women laying on the ground with blood coming out of her stomach. I ran over and looked at her wound. it looked as if someone tried to stab her multiple times but could only get one stab in.
"my name's Adrian, what happened!?" I tried to say calmly.
"I'm T-terry... I was stabbed.." she said struggling.
"JAYDEN!! I NEED HELP!!" I yelled as loud as I could.
"It's okay, we're going to help you. please, try and stay still"
"m-my... daughter.." she said. just then, Jayden and Sophie ran through the bushes.
"T-terry?.." Sophie stopped in her tracks.
"you know her?" I asked
"she's my friend Elizabeth's mom.." she said
Jayden came over and looked at her wound, then looked at me. I instantly knew from that look, that she wasn't going to make it.
"You h-have... to find... Elizabeth" Terry said
Sophie went over to her and gently grabbed her hand.
"we will do whatever it takes!" she said as tears streamed down her face.
a few minutes later, terry passed away in Jayden's arms.
"we have to bury her.." Sophie said.
"but soph, we have places to be" I said.
"we have to bury her! she's my friends mom.. it's the least we can do.." Sophie said
"alright." Jayden said.
after buried her, we packed up and got ready to leave.
"where next?" I asked.
everyone was quiet.
"we should go to my other friends house.' Sophie said. we all nodded and started to walk there. it was a longer walk that before, and it took until sunset.
