Alex opened his dry eyelids as he woke, he turned to the window and saw the sun over the horizon. "So it's already dawn, huh."
He had been up late last night thinking about his future plans.
Ever since he had been injured by those cultists, he started to think differently, about how real this world truly was.
Since he got to this world, he had been treating this place like some kind of game.
Although he had been injured before he had never been injured in such a familiar way before.
Since that happened he realised that in order to survive he needed power.
Although he wasn't weak he wasn't even a quasi legend yet.
Although he had aquired information about this new world when it came to magic he didn't know enough.
He only knew spells up to the 5th level.
He did once have a teacher who taught him some knowledge a on magic but it was only the low level stuff.
He couldn't keep thinking about this stuff anymore. Alex removed the thin cotton sheet covering him and got up.
He walked to the window and opened it, he could feel the cool morning air wash over him.
He closed his eyes and felt the air starting to clear his head and he could feel his remaining sleep to wash away.
He opened his eyes again and continued to look out the window.
He could see poudles of water all around. "I see, the rain has stopped.
"That's good it would of been difficult to do everything I had planned if it was still raining," Alex thought.
15 minutes later Alex came down from his room and looked around.
The usual sights he saw nowhere to be found. The usual cheery dark elf innkeeper was not here and the tavern was dead silent, it was as silent as a ghost town.
He was not use to the silence a part of him wanted to brush it off but another part of him found this situation ominous.
He quickly made his way to the entrance and opened the door.
He looked outside and the road was empty. He looked around for a bit and suddenly he could see some light coming from a few windows.
He could see that some people were up, after he saw that he calmed down.
"It seems my training has not gone away yet but maybe that's a good thing. I am a ranger so perhaps I would need to have a rest in the woods in the future." He muttered that as he closed the door behind him.
He made his way down the road towards the lower regane and suddenly stopped when an inconspicuous grey building.
It looked like all the buildings in the area but unlike the rest there was symbol of a dragon in flight on the door.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
As Alex knocked on the door, someone opened the slide and glared at him.
"Who is It?" there way a blue glow on the ring Alex wore and soon a metallic gold coin appeared in his hand.
He held the coin up to the slide so the man could see "We are the ones that hid in the shadows," Alex calmly said.
