Chereads / A Transmigrated Oddity / Chapter 2 - The First Battle

Chapter 2 - The First Battle

Panting on the ground before me, laid a massive wolf. It was easily taller than 3 meters and that was while laying down. Taking its size into consideration, it was easy to realize that I was at least a meter in height.

But her size wasn't even what scared- well... awed me the most.

It was her white fur. The seeable bones. The bright light in her stomach, which didn't make much sense as I couldn't see when in the womb whatsoever. Either way, her image left me awestruck.

"Maw?" I struggled to speak, looking at the fatigued wolf as she continued to go through stress. Moving my neck slightly, I could see another wolf, albeit smaller than me, being pushed out of her.

It plopped on the ground with a moist clap, it barked loudly, just as I did. Though it did wriggle around and move away from our mother with swift movements. It was clearly distressed, and out of anger, I silenced it.

"RUF!" I screamed at it, making it opens it eyes and cease its yells. I stared into its eyes with incredible annoyance as it whimpered, tears forming.

Quite pathetic.

It couldn't even handle that minor pain and had to go tumbling all around this... cave. Ignoring my little sibling, I marched over to mother, examining her as she popped out two more children.

After the last, she seemed to lose most of her consciousness, as the three huddled against her, giving her what little warmth they could provide.

I looked on as she drifted off to sleep, the three pups laying against her with worry.

Not caring whatsoever, I moved on and went to examine my surroundings.

Countless thoughts and emotions were running through my mind, making it a little hard for me to think clearly which was surprising.

All-Generator? Yeah, no idea what that is but, Status! Thinking the words that I always wished to say, all the screens closed out, and a new one appeared.

Looking at all the skills brought a smile to my face. With all of this, I could become unstoppable, even If I don't even know what half of them do.

Saving the skills and similar for later, I thought about clicking on the button next to the All-Generator, and another screen appeared.

Slowly, information seemed to flow into my mind as I looked at this screen, and eventually, I knew what to do.

The All-Generator was basically an overpowered ability. With it, I could generate tasks for myself. These tasks would give out keys upon completion. A key could then be placed in the All-Generator, to grant me a random thing from across the multiverse.

For example, I could use a key and gain an ability that gives me control over electricity. Or I could gain a powerful weapon that negates all damage.

It was something with limitless potential!

And it truly made me happy.

Putting my happiness off to the side, I went back to my info screen, mentally clicking on every single skill and ability and thoroughly inspecting them.

To put it simply, each skill was great in its own way.

{Consume} allowed me to eat things and gain their traits, abilities, and knowledge. {Rage} would allow me to focus on all my anger and empower myself, effectively trading in my anger for power. {Storage} was what one would expect. A separate space that allowed me to hold a few things in it. {Shapeshift} let me take the form of things I understood thoroughly. With {Hibernation} I could go into a deep sleep to passively gain power, or just nap to heal myself. {Ego} granted me even more power over those weaker than me, giving me a little boost for anything in my vicinity that's weaker than me. {Ecstasy} gave me a permanent power boost went doing things that I overly enjoyed.

Each skill was amazing, and that couldn't go ignored.

Though I truly do wish I was able to use {Consume} on that bitch who called herself my mother. The face she would make when seeing her son kill her and take everything away from her would be amazing.

As I was thinking this, I felt strands of... something, flow through me, making me feel quite good.

It didn't take long for me to see the status screen in the back. Apparently {Ecstasy} had already kicked in and I had gained 7 exp for imagining the horrible death of my old mother.

Though it does make sense considering that would bring me immense joy.

"Ho ho, what do we have here?" A deep voice sounded from behind me, making me turn around and look towards the entrance of the cave.

A four legged white skinned creature stood at the massive entrance. It seemed to be even bigger than my new mother, and it was somehow even more intimidating.

Its muscly legs, clawed feet, large horns, and icy breath scared me.

It scared me so much I could only stare and think,

he looks cool, I want him.

I assumed it was because of the {Deadly Sinner} trait, as I could infer that it had given me the seven skills, and they all were related the the Seven Deadly Sins.

This must of been my Envy kicking in, as I was starting to get mad.

"I WANT YOU!" I barked my first words in this world, which woke my mother, and scared my already frightened siblings.

Fortunately for myself, I had been trying to figure out how to speak the entire time I was invested in my system, constantly whispering words under my breath.

I adapted quite fast and I could only be thankful for my great abilities.

"You what?" The behemoth asked, stepping into our home, looking at me with confusion.

It's head was tilted as it approached me, towering above.

Though I ignored it, as I was too busy drowning in my infinite trains of thought.

How would it taste?

What would It feel like to be so big?

It must taste good.

It would definitely feel good murdering such a massive being.

Watching it fall limp with no signs of life...

How much power would I gain from eating it?

What is this thing?

A dragon?

I want to eat you.

Let me take your form, I could show it to these lowly pups behind me.

They would be thankful with me saving their lives and they'd realize how inferior they are.

Why wont you come down here so I can eat you?!

I know you're powerful.

I want your power!

Give it to me!

I can see myself murdering you for it...

The blood splattering against the walls of the cave.

The metallic taste as I lap up your blood.

I could eat you alive...

The pain in your eyes as you watch your own death, being able to do nothing as you fall victim to me.

"I WANT YOU!" I bark with resolve, dashing forward and biting the ankle on the massive being.

I could tell I took it by surprise as it just stood there as I devoured its body.

I took a good chunk out of it, backing off and swallowing it whole.

[Ability, {Frost Hide} gained.]

The coolness of the flesh coated my throat as it made it's way to my stomach.

Looking up at the disgrace of a dragon with pride in my eyes, we made eye contact as my genetic make up altered slightly.

Under my fur, a thick layer of hide formed, a icy mist being emitted as I gained a few pounds of muscle.

I had directly consumed some of the Dragons strength, while gaining some from my level up.

"You have the gall to attack me? I'll make your death slow." The dragon spoke, thoroughly angering me.

You think you can kill me?

Like before, all kinds of thoughts were flowing through my mind, and my temper had run short.

I felt immense strength throughout my entire body as my muscles bulged, my physical ability doubled, and I jumped at the dragon once again.

As I neared it's leg, the air before me glowed, and I smacked directly into it.

"Fighting such a small enemy with my size is hindering." The dragon said as he too glowed although with a blue light.

I quickly got back on my feet and looked on as the dragon shrunk.

It shrunk down to a size slightly larger than me, but he was still intimidating.

"Well, your time has come." It said, aiming its head towards me.

I picked up on what was happened and dashed forward. As I did so, the dragon opened its mouth and a stream of icy breath flew towards me with great force.

Unluckily for the dragon, It did nothing whatsoever as half of the energy was eaten by me, and the rest was stored away.

{Storage} and {Consume}.

HOW GREAT!

I screamed at myself out of excitement.

[Frost Fire consumed]

[Level up!]

[Ability, {Cold Resistance} gained]

[Ability, {Minor Heat Resistance} gained]

[Skill, {Consume} has leveled up]

[Skill, {Ecstasy} has leveled up]

I could feel my rage dim as I was overtaken by excitement, anticipating the growth I would experience after murdering this meager dragon.

Focusing back on reality, I continued to dash towards the dragon, ignoring its stupor and opening my maw even wider as I appeared before it.

Snap!*

I clamped down on its face, but I quickly realized that it was much harder to bite through than before.

Thankfully, I was expecting something like this, and with my legs on the ground, I pushed, performing a spin.

I spun in mid air, the dragon still in my grip as I slammed it into the ground.

It was clearly caught by surprise once again as the wind was knocked out of it.

Taking the chance, I got up and put a paw on its neck. Lowering my face, I opened my mouth as I stood over the dragons eyes.

Releasing the Cold breath from my {Storage}, I watched on with amazement as the Dragons eyes were frozen by its own attack.

"ARGH!" It yelled, raising its arm and hitting me.

BOOM!*

I truly underestimated its strength as I flung off to the side, my ribs thoroughly crushed with blood dripping down my side.

I struggled to breath as I watched the dragon gather itself, scratching at its eyes.

The rage had filled me, reaching a newer height than before as I got up, ignoring my injuries as the power had too begun to overflow.

I rushed towards the blinded dragon and appeared in front of it soon, I swung my tail with as much force as I could muster.

The pure strength made the dragons knees buckle as I made contact, but the spikes on my tail pierced its hardened hide, making it fall to the ground.

I could feel its skin soften as it showed a moment of weakness.

With quick thinking, I removed my tail from its body and opened my jaw.

With a powerful bite, I bit into its neck, copying the move of the dog I had seen just earlier.

And with unbelievable strength, I bit straight through the dragons neck, killing it instantly.

[Ability, Frost Breath Organ gained]

[Skill, {Frost Fire Breath} gained]

Relishing in the delight I received from swallowing the powerful organ, along with the tasteful flesh was unbelievable.

My knees buckled as my mind was overrun with emotion.

[Level up!]

I looked over towards the dragons face and could see the bite marks I left, along with the fear in the faces expression.

My rage had dwindled, until I looked into the beasts eyes. I realized that thanks to them being frozen, the emotion of fear wasn't captured in its death.

And my rage was once again pushed over the edge.

"FUCK!" I howled, but I soon calmed down, immense laziness taking over me as I couldn't be bothered to get angry over such a small thing.

Though, I knew for a fact I would enjoy the meal I'm about to partake in...
