"It is!" He said as he moved even closer. Did he just? Did he just read my mind? "Let me go! Now!!" I yelled
"I saved you out there today and this is how you thank me?" He asked, still smiling at me.
"What do you mean by that?" I asked, confusion written all over my face.
"I gave you a social life. I made the people find what you said to be funny. I did it in the same way that I used to walk through that guy and I used it again to make this girl want me bad." He explained as he moved away from me.
He then did the button clicking thing again with his finger and the girl walked away. "It's called a quote." He said as he turned around to walk away.
"Why is it called that?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Are you really that curious about me? Or is it just a huge crush you have on me Peach?" He asked as he chuckled a bit.
Wait... did he just call me Peach?
"If you don't want to answer me, it's fine. I'll be going now." I said as I tried to leave but he held my arm.
"Let's walk around a little. Then I can explain myself a little more." He proposed.
I want to say yes, but I don't want him to think that I like him or something.
"I was just joking about you liking me." He burst into laughter.
"Do you really take things so serious? In any case, it's not abnormal for someone to crush on me. Is it?" He asked after he managed to control his laughter.
"Are we going or not?" I asked, getting a bit irritated with his laughter.
"Hm… okay!" He said. But his lips didn't move and it sounded like his voice was more in my head.
He let go of my hand and started walking. I quickly caught up with him and then I continued walking with him.
We walked by the poolside as he explained himself.
"I'm basically a wizard in simple terms. Although there hasn't been much record of my type in history because we have the ability to erase people's memory of us or even give people memories of us without having to ever to meet them. Which was exactly what I did when I came to this college." He paused for a while.
"Should we get some drinks?" He asked. "Um… yeah! Sure." I replied as we went back into the house and made our way to the kitchen. We sat by the counter and he ordered us some drinks.
"I only came to this college a few months ago but placed a memory of myself in everyone's mind. So they believe I've been here with them and this is our third year." He explained as he handed me a glass (shot) of Soju.
"So what is a 'quote'?" I asked after I took a shot.
"Basically, normal wizards use wands, potions and have to cram or read spells. But the difference between us and normal wizards are eternal youth and the ability to upgrade in our level of spell casting." He paused as he took a shot.
"In the first level, we are comparable to regular wizards. In the second, we can cast spells without potions or a wand but we still need spell books. In the third level, we don't need any of that we just need to channel all of that to a simple motion that we can easily remember. There are only four types of motion; a quote, a wince, a twinkle and internal motion." He paused to pour some soju into both of our glasses.
"A quote is any hand motion that enables us to cast a spell. A wince is any body motion which is usually seen as body language that enables us to cast a spell. A twinkle has more to do with your eyes; it's mostly associated with the ability to change the color of your eye to cast a spell. In more powerful cases you could get two different eye colors while using a twinkle. Internal motion is the most powerful. You don't have to do anything, but whatever you want happens." He paused to take a shot.
"So what level are you at?" I asked.
"I'm at level 4. In order to get to level four. You must have mastered two motions or you should have perfected internal motion. You should have also lived for up to 1000 years. At level 5 you must have mastered all motions." He explained.
"Once you reach level 3 you are granted the access to read people's mind. Level 4 grants you access to speak in people's mind and also control their emotions. Level 5 grants you access to read another wizard's mind and even control a wizard depending on how powerful you've gotten in level 5." He spoke in my head as he took another shot.
"But from level 2, you can control a human but you cannot read their minds. At that level, you can also plant thoughts and memories into people's minds." He explained.
"Wow. This is a lot! But why did you chose to tell me?" I asked.
"Because I can remove it from your memory whenever I want to." He replied as he smiled at me.
"It's been a while since I actually sat to talk to someone. So this is somewhat exciting." His voice echoed in my head.
"So you're really a wizard?" I asked.
"Kind of. We are actually called sukeki derived from susukkekki (Korean for enigma) due to our mysterious nature and being untraceable. We can even teleport if we want to. Although I can't use my power for a while after I teleport. But yeah, you could just call us wizards on simpler terms." He explained as he got up.
"A-Are you leaving?" I asked as I tried to get up, but he held my shoulder and gently pushed me back to my seat.
He held the side of my head with on hand while the other hand was on the table beside us. What is he doing?
He stared deeply into my eyes for some time in silence, then he suddenly leaned in and our lips met. Before I could grasp what was going on we were having a make out session. Each thrust was deeper than the last. I found myself wanting more.
He pulled away slowly and he kissed my neck passionately, it gave me some sort of tingly feeling.
"So you're really a peach, hunh?" He asked as he pulled away completely. He had one of his hands holding my waist. His eyes were green and he had a faint smile on his face. He looked so sexy.
"W-What do you mean?" I asked a bit confused.
"So you mean you didn't even know?" He asked, laughing a bit as he sat down on the seat beside me.
"A peach is a marked human being. They are given in exchange for a deal between a sukeki of a lower rank and that of a higher rank which is most likely a level 5 sukeki because only level 5 sukekis can make peaches." He explained.
"A peach could also be a result of a sukeki and a human getting married. Peaches are widely wanted by sukekis because they are power boosters. Level 5 sukekis can only make one peach in their lifetime, which means for a Peach to be made, the deal must have been a serious and important one. A level 5 sukekis cannot make a peach for itself." He paused as he took a shot of soju.
"So what deal were you involved with?" He asked.
"How are you sure I was formed from a deal and not from being a child of a sukeki and human?" I asked.
"I knew that once I kissed you." He said as he smirked at me in a flirtatious manner.
"You could tell from a kiss? You must have kissed a lot of people in your life." I thought to myself.
"I have." He replied as he took another shot. I stared at him in shock.
"What? Did you think I'd be alive for this long and not have kissed?" He asked sarcastically as he chuckled a bit.
I still can't get used to the idea of someone reading my mind or speaking in my head.
"So who made you a peach?" He asked as he brushed his hand through his hair.
"Well... I-I didn't even know I was a peach... So how would I know who made me one? And why should I believe that I'm a peach? It sounds absurd." I replied.
"Remember how I said a sukeki can't use their power for some time after teleporting. Well today, I teleported into the party and in a few seconds I walked through someone. I used two motions at the same time, which isn't a common thing because even if a sukeki can use three notions, it can't use more than one at the same time without a peach of course. That was when I sensed your presence." He explained.
"I also tried to erase your memory of me walking through someone but it didn't work so I knew you had to be a peach." He added.
"When did that happen?" I asked in shock.
"What? Oh you're asking when I tried to erase your memory?" He paused as he chuckled a bit.
He then gazed at me for a while then I suddenly remembered the moment when I tried to help the girl that he spelled and he pinned me against the wall.
"That was when I attempted." He said.
"That's still not enough proof. Maybe you just didn't do it properly." I said in disbelief.
"The kiss confirmed it so I don't really care about your opinion." He said as he got up and started walking away.
"Are you leaving?" I asked as I got up.
"Yes. I came to this party for a reason, so I might as well do that now." He stopped walking as he spoke.
I stood there I silence not knowing if I should ask him to stay a bit longer.
He continued walking and then suddenly paused and turned to face me.
"You're mine." He smiled at me before he disappeared.
